Data Scientist

About the role

The Data Scientist at Stratpoint will support the Data Team’s vision of building a robust data ecosystem. This position blends technical execution with strategic input, delivering high‑quality data and model solutions while participating in data‑governance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement forecasting models, including time‑series and hierarchical frameworks (bottom‑up, top‑down, reconciliation).
• Apply statistical, machine‑learning, and deep‑learning techniques to solve real‑world prediction problems.
• Design, build, and maintain automated data pipelines for ingestion, preprocessing, model training, and output generation.
• Handle sparse, noisy, or incomplete datasets, ensuring model robustness and reliability.
• Perform data analysis and create clear forecasting visualisations, dashboards, and graphs.
• Integrate data from open‑source datasets and external vendors.
• Conduct basic web‑scraping and develop synthetic data‑generation pipelines when needed.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally with product leads, ML engineers, and software developers.
• Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive data‑driven initiatives.
• Commitment to data‑governance and building reliable data foundations.
