Data Migration Technical Lead

About the role

ThirdEye Consulting is seeking a hands‑on Data Migration Technical Lead to own end‑to‑end, high‑volume migration programmes. You will work directly with clients from discovery through go‑live, translating business needs into robust migration designs while rolling up your sleeves to build and run the pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops to define data scope, cleansing rules, transformation logic and acceptance criteria.
• Lead discovery and requirements‑gathering sessions, producing source‑to‑target mapping specifications, data dictionaries and design documents.
• Present technical approaches to stakeholders at all levels, manage expectations and build trust.
• Design, develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Informatica, Talend or open‑source equivalents.
• Write SQL queries, resolve data‑quality issues and ensure migration quality throughout delivery.
• Contribute to internal best‑practice frameworks and support pre‑sales activities as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex, high‑volume data migration projects.
• Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to engage technical and C‑suite audiences.
• Hands‑on mindset; comfortable writing code and troubleshooting data pipelines.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical designs.
