Data Engineer – Retail Data Pipelines

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to process large volumes of data efficiently.
• Design, implement, and optimise data storage solutions for analytical and business needs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate data from multiple sources into a unified platform.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in data pipelines and related systems.
• Provide clean, reliable datasets to data analysts and scientists.
• Document data engineering processes and maintain technical documentation.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and DAX.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and database management systems.
• Experience with big‑data frameworks and cloud platforms such as AWS and Databricks.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Understanding of the retail industry is a plus.
