Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

A global leader in advanced technological solutions is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join its team in Makati City. The role is hybrid, combining on‑site work with remote tasks, and focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining security architecture across cloud and on‑premise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Configure on‑premise and cloud security architectures for Windows and Linux platforms.
• Lead design of cybersecurity systems and produce technical documentation for stakeholder approval.
• Investigate security breaches, resolve issues and manage incident reporting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, oversee security patches and application upgrades.
• Execute system deployments and conduct technical stability testing.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to meet project timelines.
• Provide on‑site technical maintenance and troubleshooting for infrastructure users.
• Manage customer acceptance, knowledge transfer and training.
• Monitor system health and perform ongoing security assessments.
• Implement security upgrades across various server environments.
• Support project priorities, including occasional local travel.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, covering at least two areas such as security & risk management, security architecture, IAM or security operations.
• At least 2 years securing data within cybersecurity platforms.
• Experience developing security policies, risk management, incident response and governance frameworks.
• Minimum 1 year of network management and infrastructure security experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows administration, including patching and configuration.
• Experience in network and security deployment (minimum 2 years) and familiarity with VAPT testing.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco and Juniper platforms.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and strong written communication.
• CISSP certification is a plus.
