Country Representative – Southeast Asia Philippines

About the role

The Country Representative provides strategic leadership, governance and management for Greenpeace Southeast Asia in the Philippines. Based in Manila, this 1‑year fixed‑term position leads national program strategy, political advocacy and risk management while aligning with regional and global priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute national campaign and program strategies aligned with 3‑year regional plans.
• Lead the Country Coordination Team, ensuring cross‑departmental alignment and integration of programme, communications, fundraising and operations.
• Oversee programme budgets, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) and ensure compliance with security protocols.
• Serve as chief spokesperson and legal representative with government bodies, NGOs, donors and media.
• Build strategic alliances and coalitions to advance environmental and climate justice goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social/Environmental Sciences, Political Science, Management or related field.
• 8–10 years senior leadership experience in environmental campaigning, NGO management, strategic planning and people management.
• Proven track record in political advocacy, media representation, coalition building and financial oversight.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Filipino.
