Cost Control Accountant – Hospitality

About the role

The Cost Control Accountant will manage and analyse cost data for our Food & Beverage operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strict adherence to budgetary targets. This role supports the finance team and operational managers by providing insight into cost drivers and recommending improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Process, maintain and analyse cost data for financial reporting and cost management.
• Verify daily receipt of goods and inventory issuance, posting to the supply chain management system (SCM).
• Ensure food safety compliance at receiving and storeroom areas.
• Monitor daily F&B cost against budget and conduct surprise spot checks at all outlets.
• Identify and control wastage and pilferage in food and beverage outlets.
• Conduct inventory counts in stores, kitchens and bars, reconciling with SCM and Sun accounting system.
• Continuously assess F&B control weaknesses and suggest improvements.
• Generate ad‑hoc financial reports and analyses to support management decisions.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management or related field.
• 1–2 years of cost control or accounting experience, preferably in a five‑star hotel or similar hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with diverse nationalities.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Hotel accounting software such as Opera, SCM and Sun Systems.
• Knowledge of inventory systems, cost accounting and procurement processes.
