Cost Accountant

About the role

TOA Global is seeking a detail‑oriented Cost Accountant to join its finance team on a remote, full‑time basis. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, cost valuations and supporting month‑end close activities while collaborating with multiple departments across the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain cost‑related financial reports, including work‑in‑process (WIP), cost of goods sold (COGS), cost variance analysis, gross margin and inventory valuation schedules.
• Conduct cost analysis of direct materials, labor and overhead to determine product costs and assess cost efficiency.
• Maintain sales managers’ commission calculations in Excel, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Execute month‑end close processes: generate reports, prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations and complete required closing procedures.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and support fixed‑asset accounting, including tracking, roll‑forwards and related reporting.
• Utilize analytical tools to examine cost data, identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for cost control and operational optimisation.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting by compiling data, preparing schedules and contributing to financial modelling.
• Collaborate with operations, sales, supply‑chain and other functions to ensure accurate cost information.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and analytically driven professional.
• Strong understanding of GAAP accrual accounting principles.
• Ability to work night‑shift hours (9 PM – 6 AM PHT) and meet month‑end deadlines.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for commission calculations and data analysis.
