Intermediate Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Intermediate Accountant to join TOA Global’s remote team in the Philippines. The role supports a portfolio of Australian business clients, delivering accurate financial reporting, tax compliance and advisory services during standard business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, special‑purpose financial statements and handle general ledger items such as hire‑purchase, leases, accruals, depreciation and Single Touch Payroll.
• Compile and lodge income tax returns, tax reconciliations and manage ATO/ABR processes including registrations, deregistrations and portal communications.
• Prepare Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements, PAYG instalments and Fringe Benefits Tax returns, plus basic calculations for payroll, land and stamp duties.
• Assist with cash‑flow summaries, performance analysis, client advisory communications and draft corporate secretarial documents.
• Produce well‑referenced workpapers, track work‑in‑progress, draft invoices and liaise with external stakeholders such as insurers and financiers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2‑3 years experience in an Australian public practice or professional accounting firm.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation, Division 7A, franking accounts and small‑business concessions.
• Active membership in a recognised accounting body (CA/CPA) preferred.
• Holding or willingness to obtain Xero Advisor Certification (including payroll).
