Corporate Lawyer / Corporate Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Lawyer to provide strategic legal advice across corporate governance, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance and dispute management. The role supports business units and senior management in mitigating legal risk and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on corporate governance matters, draft board resolutions, minutes and maintain corporate records.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage commercial contracts to protect company interests.
• Monitor regulatory changes, develop compliance programs and liaise with regulators.
• Provide legal counsel to business units on risk, transactions, M&A, joint ventures and other corporate initiatives.
• Manage litigation and disputes, coordinate with external counsel and prepare legal opinions.
• Identify legal and regulatory risks, recommend mitigation strategies and support internal investigations.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and member in good standing of the Integrated Bar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate, commercial or advisory law.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance, contract law, compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience handling complex commercial transactions and negotiations.
• Excellent legal research, drafting and communication abilities.
