In-house Lawyer – Shipping & Logistics

About the role

The Lawyer will provide comprehensive legal support for MOF Company’s shipping, logistics, and port operations based in Pasay. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts related to cargo handling, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and ship agency services.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate service agreements and commercial contracts.
• Advise internal teams on compliance with Philippine shipping, customs, labor, and corporate laws.
• Coordinate with government agencies and regulatory bodies on licensing, permits, and investigations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with operations.
• Support dispute resolution, claims handling, and litigation matters.
• Prepare legal opinions, reports, and maintain organized legal documentation.
• Monitor regulatory changes and inform stakeholders of relevant updates.

Required profile

• Licensed Lawyer in the Philippines, in good standing with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
• Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws degree.
• Experience in shipping, logistics, maritime, customs, or related industries.
• Strong background in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
• Ability to interpret and apply Philippine corporate, commercial, labor, customs, and maritime regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and sound judgment.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Pasay and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
