Contracts Engineer

About the role

The Contracts Engineer will oversee contract administration for large‑scale infrastructure, dam, hydropower and pumped‑storage projects. You will ensure contractual compliance, manage claims and variations, and support commercial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Review EPC, consultancy, construction and supply contracts and monitor contractor compliance.
• Maintain contract records, correspondence and documentation, ensuring proper implementation of contract provisions.
• Interpret contract clauses, assess variation requests, and evaluate cost, time and entitlement implications.
• Maintain logs for claims, variations and contractual changes; assist in reviewing contractor payment applications.
• Monitor contractual budgets, commercial performance and forecast potential claims.
• Draft contractual letters, notices and responses; manage document tracking and filing systems.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks and support dispute avoidance and resolution.
• Coordinate with legal, technical, quantity surveyors, cost engineers and project management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Professional Engineer licence is an advantage.
• 8–15 years of experience in contract administration for large infrastructure projects.
• Experience with FIDIC or internationally funded contracts preferred.
