Communications & PR Manager – Luxury Hotel

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Makati is seeking a Communications & PR Manager to lead the development and execution of its public relations and communications strategy during the pre‑opening phase and beyond. The role will build a strong brand presence, manage media relations and ensure consistent messaging aligned with the Mandarin Oriental global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the hotel’s PR and communications strategy in line with brand guidelines.
• Manage media relations, including press releases, media kits and handling inquiries.
• Coordinate pre‑opening PR campaigns to generate awareness and anticipation.
• Oversee internal communications to ensure consistent messaging across departments.
• Collaborate with corporate communications and marketing teams for brand alignment.
• Organise press events, media familiarisation trips and promotional activities.
• Monitor media coverage and prepare regular PR performance reports.
• Manage crisis communications and ensure timely, professional responses.
• Build and maintain relationships with key media, influencers and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in PR or communications, preferably within luxury hospitality.
• Proven track record of managing successful PR campaigns and media relations.
• Strong understanding of the Philippine media landscape.
