Commis II – Food Preparation Associate

About the role

The Commis II supports the kitchen team at Marriott International by preparing high‑quality food items for restaurant and catering services. This full‑time, onsite position ensures all dishes meet Marriott standards, safety protocols, and guest expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food according to Marriott recipe cards, maintaining consistent quality.
• Label and rotate all food containers following standard operating procedures.
• Cook orders, including special requests, and start pre‑prepared items without over‑producing.
• Maintain sanitation standards, monitor proper storage temperatures, and ensure perishables are covered and dated.
• Portion items accurately, control waste, and assist with cost‑control actions.
• Check par levels, prepare necessary items, and set up the line for each shift.
• Assist in stocking buffets, prepping vegetables and condiments, and returning unused food to proper storage.
• Participate in daily training, briefings, and departmental meetings.

Required profile

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow detailed recipes and standard operating procedures.
• Willingness to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
