About the role
The Commis 3 supports daily kitchen operations, ensuring food production meets the standards set by the Chef De Partie and Commis 1. This role helps maintain a smooth, efficient environment while delivering quality meals that satisfy guest expectations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist culinary operations for a specific kitchen or outlet, following instructions from senior staff.
- Prepare dishes according to standard recipes, ensuring correct flavour, temperature, and presentation.
- Maintain hygiene and safety standards, including food storage, equipment sanitation, and reporting any defects.
- Monitor kitchen equipment, report maintenance issues, and adhere to safety procedures.
- Control waste, spoilage, and cost items while using kitchen tools safely.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and attend required meetings.
Required profile
- 0‑2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; on‑the‑job hospitality training completed.
- Ability to read and communicate in English.
- Willingness to work indoors and adapt to various kitchen conditions.
Required skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of the SWS system.
