About the role

Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa is an exclusive adults‑only resort looking for a skilled Cook to join its culinary team. The successful candidate will work in a natural, high‑standard environment, preparing and presenting dishes that meet international quality standards while contributing to memorable guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, season and present dishes using appropriate culinary techniques.
• Assist with ordering, receiving and conserving raw materials and kitchen products.
• Cook and plate a variety of regional, national, international and creative dishes.
• Support the set‑up, service and breakdown of buffets and special events.
• Monitor kitchen inventory, control costs and participate in menu planning.
• Maintain hygiene standards, clean work areas, equipment and storage rooms in compliance with HACCP and food‑handling regulations.
• Perform occasional show‑cooking or specialty stations as required.

Required profile

• Qualified and autonomous professional with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented kitchen environment.
• Commitment to food safety, quality, environmental and occupational health standards.

Required skills

• HACCP and food‑handling certification.
• Menu planning and cost control.
• Inventory management and stock rotation.
• Proficiency with kitchen equipment and preparation techniques.
