Climate & Sustainability Senior Manager

About the role

Marsh Risk Consulting is looking for an experienced Climate & Sustainability Senior Manager to join its practice in the Philippines. The role splits time between growing the practice in the Philippines through client engagement and business development, and delivering regional projects across Asia Pacific. It covers three pillars: physical risk and resilience, carbon and transition risk, and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client engagements with high quality and relationship management, becoming a long-term trusted advisor
• Deliver services across the three pillars, including catastrophe risk modelling, climate risk identification, scenario analysis, transition planning, adaptation and reporting aligned to ISSB
• Originate and support thought leadership and engagement across Marsh Risk Asia to develop insurance and risk management products for sustainability transitions
• Build Marsh's external presence in the Philippines through external forums, thought leadership and industry networking
• Lead and contribute to consulting projects across Asia where you have established credibility
• Manage and deliver climate risk advisory services, including risk identification, climate scenario analysis and climate reporting
• Support catastrophe modelling projects and recommend physical resilience strategies
• Deliver recommendations in reports, presentations and workshops, in person and virtually

Required profile

• Degree in business, environmental science, management, engineering or another field relevant to sustainability
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in catastrophe risk or climate change, in consulting or in-house
• Proven experience building a consulting pipeline and business development, preferably in the Philippines
• Awareness of international frameworks such as ISSB/IFRS/PFRS, GRI, SASB, ISO14001, GHG Principles, SBTi and TCFD
• Ability to advise clients on project approach, methodology and tools
• Strong communication and influencing skills, able to present to boards and C-suite

Required skills

• Catastrophe risk, physical climate risk, adaptation and resilience, and climate science concepts
• Experience in energy, power, manufacturing or financial institutions is a plus
• Postgraduate degree (e.g. MBA) or accreditations such as GARP SCR are a plus
