Civil Trackworks Advisor – Operations & Maintenance

About the role

The Civil Trackworks Advisor will support the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team by providing accurate technical information on civil and trackwork assets. You will act as a bridge between the contractor’s technical team and the O&M team, ensuring that all data and guidance are reliable and actionable.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, validate and provide technical information on civil and trackwork to the O&M team.
• Advise on potential issues affecting O&M from a civil/trackwork construction perspective.
• Participate in hazard and HAZOP workshops.
• Ensure the integrity and credibility of information supplied by technical teams.
• Coordinate with the contractor’s civil/trackwork technical team to deliver expected outputs.
• Contribute to the development of the Asset Management system together with the contractor and OMC.
• Assist in preparing civil/trackwork maintenance rules, guidelines and SOPs.
• Support OMC during bidding and negotiation stages as required.
• Conduct inspections of underground, elevated and depot civil works during warranty and the first three‑year maintenance period.
• Assist DOTr in supervising instrumentation measurement during the initial three‑year period.

Required profile

• Proven ability to coordinate with contractor civil/trackwork technical teams.
• Familiarity with hazard analysis and HAZOP workshop participation.
• Experience conducting inspections of civil works in underground, elevated and depot environments.
