Buyer III – Procurement Specialist

About the role

UCT is seeking a proactive Buyer III to manage the planning, sourcing, purchasing, and expediting of materials and commodities for its semiconductor manufacturing operations in the Philippines. The role ensures timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost‑effective procurement from both local and international suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, buy, source, and expedite materials from approved vendor lists worldwide.
• Guarantee on‑time delivery while meeting strict quality requirements.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Lead cost‑reduction initiatives and manage supplier performance through scorecards.
• Support inventory management, material availability, and quality management objectives.
• Perform other duties as required to support the supply chain.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related field, or 5 years with a relevant Diploma.
• Experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Familiarity with MRP systems.
