Senior Supply Chain Assistant

About the role

The Senior Supply Chain Assistant will support the Head of Resource Management and the Supply Chain Officer in planning, coordinating and implementing supply chain activities across procurement, fleet, warehouse, asset and facilities management for IOM’s mission in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing supply chain strategies, SOPs and procurement instructions in line with IOM policies.
• Coordinate procurement, warehousing, transport and equipment upgrades, ensuring compliance with humanitarian objectives.
• Manage medium to high‑value procurement requisitions, tender processes, supplier pre‑qualification and contract administration.
• Maintain vendor database, monitor performance, and prepare KPI reports for long‑term agreements.
• Oversee asset insurance, inventory tagging, and ensure accurate documentation of logistics operations.
• Prepare payment requests, follow up with finance, and provide training to direct reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, purchasing or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience (or High School Diploma with 7 years).
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the not‑for‑profit/UN/humanitarian sector focusing on procurement, fleet management, insurance and inventory control.
• Experience in stakeholder collaboration, tender management, supplier negotiations and procure‑to‑pay processes.
• CIPS Level 3 certificate is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP.
• Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle.
