Buyer III – Procurement Specialist

About the role

UCT is seeking a motivated Buyer III to support its fast‑growing semiconductor manufacturing operations in the Philippines. The role focuses on planning, sourcing, purchasing, and expediting materials and commodities from approved local and international suppliers while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, buy, source, and expedite materials and commodities from approved vendor lists both locally and overseas.
• Ensure on‑time delivery and compliance with quality requirements.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
• Execute cost‑reduction initiatives and manage supplier performance through scorecards.
• Support inventory management, material availability, and quality management objectives.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field, or 5 years with a relevant Diploma.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced setting.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MRP systems.
