Business Operational Risk Officer

About the role

The Business Operational Risk Officer supports the Team Head in managing operational risk activities across BDO Insurance business units. The role acts as a liaison between the Operational Risk Management Unit (ORMU) and the various business units, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and effective risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of assigned units with Risk and Control Self‑Assessment (RCSA) and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) requirements.
• Review and update RCSA/KRI frameworks in coordination with process owners.
• Monitor and report KRI status for multiple business units.
• Coordinate Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities, including call‑tree management, drill participation, and database maintenance of employee contact details.
• Facilitate access entitlement reviews (AER) and access review self‑assessment (ARSA) for applications.
• Participate in annual Internal Audit Initiatives (IAI) and ensure completion of mandatory BISCUIT training courses.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree holder.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in operational risk, compliance, or related fields.
