Business Development Specialist

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will own the end‑to‑end implementation of new payment solutions for ShopeePay. You will drive partner identification, negotiation, integration and day‑to‑day management to expand ShopeePay’s payment capabilities across the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Source and evaluate prospective partners to grow ShopeePay’s payments network and infrastructure.
• Lead the full onboarding process, from ideation through launch.
• Collaborate with Legal, Product, Tech, Compliance and Risk teams to ensure compliant and successful integrations.
• Manage long‑term relationships post‑launch, acting as the key account manager for assigned partners.
• Monitor channel performance, optimise results and identify new growth opportunities.
• Work with the marketing team to promote the product and drive adoption.
• Respond to partner feature requests, assess technical feasibility and coordinate internal stakeholders to deliver timely solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of business development experience in FinTech, banking or payments.
• Deep knowledge of the Philippine payments ecosystem, including BSP regulations and local payment methods such as InstaPay, PESONet and QRPH.
• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end payment projects and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking with a track record of delivering results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Willingness to work onsite in Ortigas, Mandaluyong City.
