Business Analyst - Financial Markets & Group Treasury

About the role

ING Hubs Philippines is hiring a Business Analyst for Financial Markets and Group Treasury within the Financial Accounting Tribe of COO Finance. The role sits at the heart of the bank's wholesale banking business, which translates complex global activities into financial records in line with regulatory and tax requirements. You will work in a multidisciplinary squad of business analysts, engineers and a product owner, acting as single point of contact from Finance on front-to-end initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into Finance user requirements and cover business and user requirements in change releases
• Coordinate and facilitate activities at squad, tribe and program level
• Support the product owner and squad in managing the backlog: turning epics into features and user stories
• Analyse input, output and adjustments of data in end-user processes and improve data quality
• Maintain controls related to minimum accounting standards
• Support strategic initiatives through functional, acceptance and migration testing
• Translate solution designs into IT solutions with IT partners
• Provide second-line functional support and check daily end-of-day timeliness, correctness, completeness of financial and product accounting, reporting, reconciliations and ledgers
• Develop into a specialist in a domain or a generic profile with managerial responsibilities

Required profile

• University (Master's) degree in (Management) Accounting & Control, Business IT, Accountancy or (Business) Economics; an exceptional academic record is a plus
• More than ten years of experience in the financial industry with knowledge of Wholesale Banking product accounting concepts
• Understanding of banking processes and knowledge of Financial Markets products
• Ability to carry out impact analyses and functional designs, and to create test plans and test cases
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, affinity with IT and innovation, and comfort in an Agile environment

Required skills

• SQL
• FMGT front-office and back-office systems (Murex, Summit, Sophis, Calypso) is a plus
• Hedge accounting concepts is a plus
