Billing Associate

About the role

San Miguel Properties, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented Billing Associate to manage the full billing cycle for its real‑estate portfolio. The role ensures invoices are accurate and issued on time, monitors outstanding balances, and supports the company’s revenue assurance and cash collection processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue invoices promptly based on contracts, lease agreements, or service arrangements.
• Monitor accounts receivable, generate aging reports, and track overdue balances.
• Verify billing data against approved rates, terms, and supporting documentation.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, disputes, and client inquiries.
• Coordinate with finance, leasing, operations, and clients to ensure billing accuracy.
• Maintain organized billing records for audit and reporting purposes.
• Support month‑end closing by reconciling billing and revenue records.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant regulations.
• Assist in improving billing systems, processes, and controls for greater efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• 1–3 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
• Strong understanding of billing processes and revenue recognition principles.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential financial information.
• Proven problem‑solving and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting or billing software systems.
