Azure Manager

About the role

The Azure Manager will lead complex Azure integration projects, ensuring delivery excellence from design through to production. This senior position requires deep technical expertise and strong governance to drive secure, repeatable, and high‑velocity solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Apply systems thinking to design and integrate complex Azure solutions across agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
• Implement delivery governance, decision records, and quality controls to minimise rework.
• Coordinate stakeholders and vendors, aligning scope, milestones, and technical standards.
• Maintain commercial discipline by clarifying assumptions, dependencies, risks, and Customer Furnished Items.
• Translate solution intent into build‑ready artefacts such as interfaces, data flows, and environment specifications.
• Embed security, privacy, identity, and access controls into designs from day one.
• Leverage reference architectures, patterns, and accelerators to accelerate delivery and ensure consistency.
• Design operational readiness artefacts including monitoring, support models, runbooks, and auditability.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of overall IT experience with at least 10 years of hands‑on Azure integration.
• Proven delivery focus with successful implementation of large‑scale Azure projects.
• Ability to adapt delivery approaches (agile, waterfall, hybrid) and make decisions with incomplete information.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
• Commercial and requirements discipline, ensuring clear definition of done.
• Experience aligning architecture intent with execution artefacts.
• Security‑by‑design mindset throughout the project lifecycle.
• Expertise in operational readiness and post‑go‑live stability.
