Associate Lawyer

About the role

HG Law is seeking a full‑time Associate Lawyer to join its Manila office. The successful candidate will work under senior lawyers to support a wide range of legal matters for corporate and individual clients.

Key responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, contracts, legal opinions and memoranda.
• Conduct in‑depth legal research using electronic databases.
• Assist in developing case strategies and preparing for hearings, arbitrations and administrative proceedings.
• Appear before courts and agencies, attend hearings, conferences and settlement negotiations.
• Communicate directly with clients, manage case files, deadlines and documentation.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues to deliver business‑oriented legal solutions.

Required profile

• Member in good standing of the Philippine Bar (recent bar passers welcome).
• Strong foundation in Philippine law with coursework or experience in litigation, dispute resolution, corporate, labor or regulatory practice.
• Excellent legal research, writing and oral advocacy skills.
• High professionalism, integrity and ability to handle confidential matters.
• Capacity to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks and work in a fast‑paced collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with electronic legal research databases.
• Experience using case management and document management tools.
