Accountant – Financial Reporting & Tax (Onsite/Hybrid)

About the role

Frontline Accounting is seeking a motivated Accountant to manage financial transactions, prepare comprehensive reports, and ensure accurate record‑keeping for a diverse client base. The role starts onsite and transitions to a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility while maintaining close collaboration with clients and the team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, cash‑flow reports, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
• Compile and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Oversee client ledgers, identify and resolve discrepancies proactively.
• Deliver full‑cycle accounting services across all aspects of client businesses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year relevant accounting experience.
• Familiarity with Australian taxation is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Experience using MYOB.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks.
