Accountant – Financial Reporting & Cost Management

About the role

The Accountant will ensure accurate financial records, prepare reports, and support budgeting and forecasting. This role provides analysis and insights to aid management decisions while safeguarding assets and ensuring compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records and books of accounts.
• Record, reconcile, and monitor financial transactions in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare journal entries, account schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities for timely reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Monitor accounts payable and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Monitor accounts receivable, collections, and aging schedules.
• Analyze operational and production costs to support cost‑management initiatives.
• Prepare cost reports by business unit, department, project, or cost center.
• Monitor inventory balances, reconcile physical counts, and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Support payroll reconciliation and statutory reporting.
• Maintain financial data integrity within ERP and accounting systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (CPA preferred).
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP and accounting software.
