Account Manager

About the role
The Account Manager will drive sales growth, expand distribution, and ensure excellent merchandising execution across pet shops, veterinary clinics, and modern trade within the assigned territory.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales volume targets and drive sell‑in and sell‑out growth.
- Increase numeric and weighted distribution by opening new pet‑shop, veterinary, breeder and retail accounts.
- Ensure optimal shelf placement, implement planograms and monitor shelf share versus competitors.
- Monitor compliance with pricing guidelines, track competitor pricing and recommend pricing strategies.
- Plan and execute trade and consumer promotions, coordinate with marketing and measure effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships with shop owners, distributors, veterinarians and conduct regular business reviews.
- Gather market intelligence on competitor activities, new product launches and provide insights to management.
- Prepare sales forecasts, territory performance reports and maintain accurate customer records.
