Wind Design Engineer

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Wind Design Engineer to support the delivery of renewable energy projects worldwide. You will work across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies to construction and operational performance, within a dynamic consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support project teams in wind power delivery, including feasibility studies, conceptual designs, technical specifications, and tender documentation.
• Review and prepare technical content for EPC, O&M contracts, and Power Purchase Agreements.
• Conduct construction‑phase site inspections, report on quality and progress, and review operational site performance.
• Act as Owner’s Engineer and Lender’s Technical Advisor, enhancing regional technical capabilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineers to deliver integrated scopes of work.
• Promote and uphold Jacobs’ safety culture and manage HSE requirements on projects.
• Assist in bids, proposals, and client engagements.
• Provide support to other generation projects as needed.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field; professional license is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in renewable energy consulting, focusing on onshore and offshore wind projects across all phases.
• Demonstrated experience in wind project development and design.
• Proficiency with WindPro or similar wind‑analysis software.
• Experience leading multi‑disciplinary project teams.
