Water Resources Engineer

About the role

The Water Resources Engineer will lead the development of a comprehensive master plan for water resources and raw‑water facilities, ensuring technical, financial and regulatory viability. This role supports both regulated and non‑regulated business units and works closely with operations and new‑business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the water resources and raw‑water facilities master plan, covering technical, financial and regulatory aspects.
• Coordinate with Operations (CPF), Operations (Water Supply), New Business Operations and Development to identify and initiate new projects.
• Assess current water‑resource conditions against the service delivery plan and propose solutions.
• Study hydrological and environmental factors that may affect current and future water‑source programs.
• Engage with key stakeholders such as MWSS, MWSI, NPC and NWRB to influence policies and programs.
• Lead cross‑functional teams in feasibility studies, optimization of existing sources and master‑plan updates.
• Develop, calibrate and update hydrologic, hydrodynamic and water‑quality simulations for system projects.
• Perform hydrological modeling for flood forecasting and drought‑management strategies.
• Provide technical support for new‑business initiatives, including due diligence and bid preparation.
• Implement management policies and undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Licensed Civil Engineer specialized in Hydraulics and Water Resources.
• At least 4 years of experience in water‑resources engineering and management.
• Proficiency with HEC‑HMS and HEC‑RAS.
• Willingness to conduct fieldwork.
