Visiting Lecturer – Data Science & Management

About the role

The School of Information at RIT seeks a Visiting Lecturer to begin in August 2024. The successful candidate will teach a broad range of courses in data science and data management, contributing to both undergraduate and graduate programs.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses covering data science, data management, and related topics.
• Develop and update curriculum that includes structured and unstructured data, database systems, data warehousing, and analytics.
• Mentor students on projects involving machine learning, information retrieval, and natural language processing.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic service, and curriculum planning.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent experience in information science, computer science, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to teach a broad range of data‑centric courses.
• Experience in three or more of the technical areas listed below.
