Urban Designer

About the role

Join WSP as an Urban Designer and help shape vibrant, sustainable places for communities worldwide. You will work alongside architects, planners, engineers and government agencies to create safe, accessible, and visually appealing public spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Develop urban design plans, master plans and spatial strategies for neighborhoods, districts and cities.
• Design public spaces, streetscapes, plazas and parks that meet safety, accessibility and aesthetic standards.
• Collaborate with architects, landscape architects, planners, engineers and government agencies on urban development projects.
• Conduct site analysis, feasibility studies and urban research.
• Prepare design drawings, 3D models and visual presentations for stakeholder communication.
• Ensure compliance with local urban planning guidelines and regulations.
• Engage with communities and stakeholders to understand social and cultural needs.
• Integrate sustainable practices, mobility planning and green infrastructure into designs.

Required profile

• Strong creative problem‑solving and design‑thinking abilities.
• Understanding of transport systems, public‑space design and environmental planning.
• Experience with urban planning, design and spatial analysis (Middle‑East experience is a plus).
• Excellent visual communication and presentation skills.
• Positive attitude, team player and willingness to learn.
