Underwriter – Consultant (Fixed Dayshift, Weekends Off, Onsite)

About the role

ZigZag is seeking an Underwriter – Consultant to provide operational and administrative support to its Credit Risk and Underwriting teams. The role focuses on processing merchant and customer applications, handling enquiries, and ensuring all documentation complies with internal policies and service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the credit underwriting team with processing and reviewing merchant and customer applications.
• Capture, verify, and maintain accurate applicant information and required documentation.
• Conduct credit bureau checks and data verification tasks as directed.
• Prepare application summaries, offers, and re‑advance documentation.
• Ensure applications are processed accurately and in line with internal procedures.
• Perform administrative tasks to support daily business operations and meet SLA targets.
• Enter data and update internal systems, including Odyssey.
• Support workflow management, document processing, and application tracking.
• Respond to merchant enquiries related to credit risk and underwriting.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
• Professional approach to customer and stakeholder interactions.
• Self‑starter mindset with a sense of ownership and accountability.
• Experience in financial services, lending operations, or credit administration is preferred.
• Familiarity with credit bureau checks and loan management systems.
