Truck Maintenance Assistant

About the role

The Truck Maintenance Assistant supports the workshop team by performing routine upkeep and basic repairs on a fleet of trucks. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in vehicle maintenance while ensuring safety and reliability of the trucks.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the mechanic with routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
• Inspect vehicles to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and organized condition.
• Support basic diagnosis of mechanical or electrical problems.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Prepare trucks for inspections and road tests.
• Replace or help replace parts such as filters, bulbs, and fluids.

Required profile

• High school diploma or vocational/technical certification in automotive or mechanical field.
• Proven experience as a mechanic (preferred) or related hands‑on experience.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and reliability.
