Travel Counselor

About the role

American Express is seeking a Travel Counselor to deliver end‑to‑end travel arrangements and post‑booking support for its global consumer customers. You will work in a hybrid environment, combining onsite collaboration with remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange flights, hotels, and car rentals for customers.
• Handle post‑booking changes, cancellations, and issue resolution.
• Maintain accuracy while managing multiple interactions.
• Use a consultative approach to match travel options with customer needs.
• Communicate travel products, policies, and benefits clearly.
• Navigate Sabre GDS and internal systems to provide timely solutions.
• Consistently meet productivity, quality, and customer‑satisfaction targets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years travel‑industry experience or 4 years BPO/contact‑center experience.
• Experience handling voice and/or digital channels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of travel and global geography.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to work weekend and overnight shifts.

Required skills

• Sabre GDS (training provided).
• TICO certification (company will cover cost if not held).
• Proficiency with multiple computer systems.
