Transport Planner

About the role

The Transport Planner is responsible for designing and optimizing daily transportation routes to ensure on‑time, cost‑effective deliveries. You will analyze order volumes, delivery zones and fleet capacity, creating dispatch plans that align with warehouse and distribution centre schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and optimize transportation routes and dispatch schedules.
• Analyze order volume, delivery zones, and fleet capacity to develop optimal dispatch plans.
• Coordinate with distribution centres, warehouses and transport teams to align shipment schedules.
• Monitor route performance and adjust plans based on real‑time operational changes.
• Support load planning, route consolidation and transport cost optimisation.
• Maintain accurate transport planning data and generate regular reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in transport planning or logistics operations.
• Proven experience in route planning, dispatch planning or line‑haul coordination.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and planning abilities.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience with route planning and optimisation tools.
• Attention to detail and execution accuracy.
