Technician III – Equipment

About the role

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking a Technician III to sustain and maintain electro‑mechanical equipment, jigs, tooling, and logistics across Front‑of‑Line, End‑of‑Line (Back End) and Test Assembly operations. The role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment rebuilds to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting on non‑functioning equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and re‑assemble equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, manuals or sketches.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to conduct equipment check‑outs.
• Rebuild and modify manufacturing equipment under direction of engineering or supervisory staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a semiconductor company, working on Front‑of‑Line, End‑of‑Line or Test Assembly.
• Ability to work on‑site with no travel requirements.
