Tax Officer (CPA) – Tax Compliance & Planning

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Tax Officer (CPA) to support the implementation of tax planning and compliance strategies for our business unit. The successful candidate will ensure accurate and timely tax filings while liaising with internal teams and external authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing tax planning and compliance initiatives.
• Prepare, file, and pay all local and national tax returns on schedule.
• Conduct regular tax compliance reviews to meet BIR, LGU, and BOC requirements.
• Handle day‑to‑day tax matters, including schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Support BIR, LGU, and Customs audits, inspections, and permit processes.
• Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, consultants, and government agencies on tax issues.
• Monitor updates to tax laws and regulations and disseminate relevant information.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for all tax filings and transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in tax compliance, advisory, or audit.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with internal and external parties.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Philippine tax laws and regulations (BIR, LGU, BOC).
• Familiarity with accounting standards and basic financial reporting.
• Experience with BIR and LGU audits; exposure to BOC audits is a plus.
