Tax Analyst – Indirect Tax & VAT Compliance

About the role

Penbrothers is seeking a Tax Analyst to support the global tax and compliance activities of a leading luxury resale platform. The role is fully remote, working Philippine Time, and focuses on indirect tax compliance, tax governance, and business partnering across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Support VAT compliance in EU, UK, Netherlands and other jurisdictions, including registrations, filings and audits.
• Review and assess VAT treatment of B2B, B2C, marketplace, cross‑border sales, imports/exports and intra‑EU stock movements.
• Coordinate with external advisors on VAT matters and respond to tax authority information requests.
• Monitor VAT recovery opportunities and input‑VAT recoverability.
• Maintain the tax governance tracker and compliance calendar, monitoring actions, risks and deadlines.
• Prepare tax governance meeting materials, status updates and management reports.
• Identify tax risks and ensure timely escalation.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Logistics, Legal, Treasury and Commercial teams to assess tax implications of business initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of indirect tax and VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience with cross‑border transactions and multi‑jurisdictional tax reporting.
• Ability to work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
• Detail‑oriented with good risk‑identification and escalation skills.
