Tax Accountant

About the role

The Tax Accountant will ensure timely collection, preparation, and filing of tax-related information for all legal entities under Jollibee Worldwide Services. This role supports compliance with local and national tax regulations and provides management with insight on tax impacts and risks.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and report tax information to authorities at local and national levels.
• Prepare and compute statutory tax returns, including withholding taxes, VAT, and final tax for the Philippines.
• Reconcile general‑ledger tax accounts, validate tax bases, and record necessary adjustments.
• File, execute, and record online payments of tax liabilities (income tax, withholding tax, VAT, DST, registration fees, etc.) before due dates.
• Prepare supporting schedules and reports such as MAPS, SSL, LPS, AWTS, LIS, RS, inventory lists, and scanned BIR 2307 copies.
• Generate quarterly summaries of expanded withholding tax and issue certificates to suppliers.
• Compute disallowed input VAT for VAT‑exempt senior citizen transactions.
• Escalate unusual transactions to the Team Leader for resolution.
• Produce and validate reports required by specialists, team leaders, and business partners.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing documents, schedules, and data during audits.
• Participate in company initiatives, process‑improvement projects, and corporate events.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or equivalent.
• 1‑2 years of experience in accounting, finance, or tax.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both oral and written.
• Willingness to work in Ortigas, Pasig City with a hybrid work arrangement.
