Systems Development Engineer

About the role

The Systems Development Engineer will support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of smart‑factory solutions within a manufacturing environment. The role focuses on data‑driven decision making, process optimisation and integration of automation tools to enhance productivity and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and configure Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), SCADA, IoT platforms and auto‑recipe tools.
• Integrate barcode systems and ensure seamless machine‑to‑system communication.
• Analyse production data using Excel, Power BI or similar tools to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
• Support quality control processes and apply QC tools to maintain product standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field (advantage).
• 2‑3 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing system improvement, preferably in semiconductor or electronics.
• Hands‑on experience with smart‑factory tools such as MES, SCADA, IoT platforms, auto‑recipe systems and barcode integration.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to decision making.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work with minimal supervision and possess good communication skills.
