Materials Process Engineer I

About the role

Moog is seeking a Materials Process Engineer I to join its Materials and Process Engineering team in Baguio City. The role involves executing tactical assignments, collaborating with internal and global teams, and supporting long‑term multi‑site projects.

Key responsibilities

• Execute tactical assignments by performing materials and processing analyses.
• Provide technical participation in internal and global M&PE teams.
• Perform complex engineering tasks, communicate options to senior staff, and determine next steps.
• Support long‑term, multi‑site projects under senior engineering guidance.
• Propose and recommend process equipment solutions for operating groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Materials Science.
• Minimum 3 years experience in heat treatment of steel, carburizing, mechanical testing, and metallography.
• Ability to conduct metallographic examinations and interpret microstructures.
• Knowledge of mechanical property tests such as hardness, microhardness, tensile, and impact testing.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to prepare technical reports.
