System Administrator (Project-based)

About the role

UBX, the digital innovation arm of UnionBank, is seeking a Project‑based System Administrator to support its growing ecosystem platforms. You will work closely with internal teams and third‑party vendors to ensure the stability, performance, and security of the company’s IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in long‑range IT planning and manage assigned projects.
• Provide technical expertise by recommending appropriate hardware and software solutions.
• Deliver end‑to‑end technical support, including evaluation, installation, and implementation of third‑party products.
• Resolve system and end‑user issues promptly.
• Analyze system requirements and offer improvement recommendations.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on servers, networks, and related equipment.
• Implement procedures to optimize systems and software within the department.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation and records of the department’s infrastructure.
• Develop and conduct technical transfer training programs for fellow employees.

Required profile

• Proven experience in system administration and IT support.
• Ability to evaluate, recommend, and implement hardware and software solutions.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for system and user issues.
• Experience in performing maintenance and optimizing IT environments.
• Good documentation practices and ability to create technical training materials.
