Sushi Demi Chef De Partie – Cruise Ship

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Sushi Demi Chef De Partie to support the Sushi Club operation aboard a cruise ship. The successful candidate will work under the Sushi CDP, ensuring daily food preparation meets the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare sushi and related dishes according to company standards.
• Follow supervisors' instructions and coordinate daily tasks.
• Estimate production needs and verify the quality of raw and cooked products.
• Maintain hygiene, safety, and proper temperature control for all food items.
• Operate and report any malfunctioning kitchen equipment.
• Communicate effectively with staff to ensure a friendly working environment.
• Uphold guest satisfaction, quality, and cost targets.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma from an accredited culinary college or university.
• 22+ years of experience in a 5‑star hotel, cruise ship, or high‑profile restaurant.
• Certification from an advanced food‑safety program.
• Extensive knowledge of VSP preferred.

Required skills

• Ability to produce 5‑star culinary products.
• Experience in high‑volume operations (500+ meals per service).
• Proficiency with kitchen machinery and knife safety.
• Knowledge of all culinary brigade stations and designated stations.
