Superintendent – Electrical Projects (2‑year fixed term)

About the role

OceanaGold is looking for an experienced Superintendent to lead the delivery of major electrical projects at its Didipio underground mine in the Philippines. This is a 2‑year fixed‑term position reporting to the Manager of Capital Projects and requires a strong on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a visible field presence by completing Critical Control Verifications (CCVs) and Task Observations with project teams.
• Coach and mentor Electrical Project Engineers and Construction Coordinators to ensure safety and performance commitments are met.
• Implement risk‑management tools such as FRA, HAZOP, CHAZOP, and SIL studies for active designs.
• Lead design and constructability reviews, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate interface meetings with operational departments to manage project interactions.
• Oversee preparation of project documentation across all phases, including Concept Studies, URS, SoW, and PEP.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale electrical projects in a mining or heavy‑industry environment.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities with a focus on safety and accountability.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, construction, and operations teams.
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with multiple stakeholders.
