Construction Coordinator – 3 Year Fixed Term

About the role

OceanaGold is seeking a Construction Coordinator for a three‑year fixed‑term contract at its Didipio underground mine in the Philippines. Reporting to the Superintendent – Construction, you will mentor construction teams, ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies, and coordinate site activities to minimise impact on ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Promote safety, health and environmental awareness to prevent injuries and damage.
• Assist the Construction Superintendent in identifying resource skills and allocating them to capital works.
• Participate in schedule and estimate development for capital projects.
• Support design review with a focus on constructability and implementation issues.
• Monitor site activities, report progress against approved schedules, and flag non‑conformances.
• Identify and implement efficiencies to aid project delivery.
• Maintain daily records of incidents, progress, delays and milestone achievement.
• Keep the Construction Superintendent informed of all relevant construction matters.
• Ensure high‑standard housekeeping around construction works.
• Provide data for tracking and reporting against project schedules.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced construction professional with a reliable track record.
• Ability to mentor and monitor construction work groups.
• Strong understanding of HSE policies and procedures in a mining environment.
• Proven capability to coordinate site activities, manage scope, schedule and budget.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills to keep senior leadership updated.
