Structural Steel Estimator

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Structural Steel Estimator to join our U.S.‑based estimating team. The role is fully remote and requires working Monday‑Friday, 7:00 AM‑4:00 PM Pacific Time, supporting commercial construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural steel takeoffs from project drawings and specifications.
• Build, review, and maintain accurate 3D models using Tekla Structures.
• Generate material quantities and verify their accuracy for estimating purposes.
• Input, manage, and maintain estimating and project data within PowerFab.
• Assist in preparing bid packages and supporting estimation deliverables.
• Conduct internal quality‑control checks to ensure estimate accuracy and completeness.
• Review structural drawings, plans, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate closely with U.S.‑based estimators and project stakeholders to meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in structural steel estimating for commercial projects.
• Hands‑on experience with Tekla Structures for 3D modeling.
• Experience using PowerFab for estimating or project data management.
• Strong ability to read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and construction documents.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork.
