About the role
Join the pre‑opening team of Mandarin Oriental Makati as a Steward. You will support daily stewarding operations, ensuring the kitchen and back‑of‑house areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and efficiency as the hotel prepares to open in 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in setting up stewarding areas, equipment, cleaning stations and storage before opening.
- Perform dishwashing, cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils and work surfaces.
- Maintain hygiene standards across all kitchen and back‑of‑house facilities.
- Handle, store and use cleaning chemicals safely and manage waste segregation.
- Ensure adequate stock of clean kitchenware, utensils and equipment for operations.
- Support inventory control of stewarding supplies and report shortages.
- Follow HACCP, food safety and health‑and‑safety procedures, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate closely with the Steward Supervisor and other kitchen teams.

- Growth mindset and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced pre‑opening environment.
Required skills
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
- Experience with dishwashing, cleaning and sanitation processes.
