Software Engineer I – Big Data & Cloud

About the role

This position involves complex research, design, and software development within a specific product line focused on simplifying big‑data management. You will work with cutting‑edge technologies to extract, cleanse, transform, and index massive data sets while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review and develop system components of moderate complexity based on requirements.
• Perform testing of new features and bug fixes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate product needs into test procedures.
• Operate in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid development environments.
• Resolve technical issues and stay current with emerging technologies.
• Suggest code design improvements and own assigned testing tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• At least 3 years of experience with Java, C++, or C#.
• 1‑2 years of experience using GitHub.
• 2 years of experience with Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server databases.
• 2 years of experience on UNIX systems, including shell and awk scripting.
• Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Familiarity with Python and exposure to cloud DevOps or Azure is a plus.
• Ability to quickly learn enterprise AI tools and apply them to business workflows.
